Reading and Responses20 L CERPs Read Counseling the Nursing Mother by Lauwers and Swisher, 2005. Answer 30 questions in their entirety and submit to instructor. Fee: $100. ($25 – non-refundable – to be paid at time of registration; $75 to be paid when unit submitted.) Lactation Practicum40 L CERPs Evaluate three mother/infant dyads with a variety of challenges and complete the appropriate paperwork (adapted from Blueprints ). Follow one mother/infant dyad from the prenatal period until 6 weeks after birth. Fee: $200. ($50 – non-refundable – to be paid at time of registration; $150 to be paid when practicum submitted.) Infant Challenges - A Review Adapted from Blueprints30 L CERPs Twelve common infant challenges that face lactation consultants are presented. Research the questions and respond. Fee: $150. If these CERPs are being submitted to the IBLCE in order to qualify for the exam, the completed unit(s) must be received by LEC no later than four weeks prior to submitting your application to the IBLCE for the exam in order to receive your certificate in a timely fashion. If using these CERPs to recertify, the completed unit(s) must be received by LEC no later than four weeks prior to submitting your application for recertification.
